Hey there Bloggies!!

Yesterday I mentioned that I was attending a very exciting event last night. I will not keep you in suspense any longer. It was the Train and John Mayer concert at the Molson Ampitheatre in Toronto, and it was SO GOOD!! I went with my friend Kate after she got off work. She was the driver and I was the navigator, and we got there just in time to see Train who played for just under 2 hours. Since we knew we weren’t going to have time to grab any food before the concert began (and as expected, Molson Ampitheatre doesn’t allow any outside food or drinks), we each packed a car picnic. I didn’t want to feel super full, so I kept mine fairly light. It consisted of:

  • A salad topped with chicken
  • Cantaloupe, strawberries, and some of the donut peaches I tried on Tuesday
  • A super crunchy Golden Delicious apple
  • A bag of Kashi Go Lean and Nature’s Path Kamut Puffs
  • …and this:

Oh yes, I went there. Flippin’ enormous green monster. I didn’t have much time to get ready after hot yoga before Kate arrived so I was absolutely loving this beast in the car.

Train was absolutely amazing. They played most of their new songs as well as some of the older ones, and of course, this classic that you’ve probably heard a million times:

John Mayer came on at about 9, and looked absolutely nothing like this:

Nope, not at all. Instead, he obviously decided he opted for the au naturel look, topped off with this a rather interesting pink bandana. He also appears to have collected a few more tattoos since the photo above.

Mr. Mayer isn’t exactly my type looks wise (his saxophone player on the other hand was very much my type), but my goodness that man can play the guitar! I don’t really know a ton about music, other than the fact that I listen to it a lot, but he exceptionally talented in my opinion! As the concert was going on, he had an iPad on stage and was checking his tweets from it. He played the songs people were requesting on Twitter, and also read out some rather interesting tweets from fans, like “Pants are terrible things. You should take yours off.” (He refrained, but was very good with the song requests!)

The weather was gorgeous and it was such a fun night. I got home this morning and hit up the gym for a little cardio sesh and some lower body/biceps/shoulders/triceps work. It’s time for me to make a move now because I’ve got tons to do today before yet another super-exciting event tonight. But more on that tomorrow! (This time, it involves more food!!!!)

Questions for today:

  • What was the last concert you saw? Where was it?
  • Do you have any exciting plans for this weekend?

Talk to you soon! :)
