Feeling Lucky?
Good morning friends!
How’s your day going so far? I hope it’s off to a lovely start! Since St. Patty’s Day is this Saturday, I thought I’d share some recipes from around the blog world that have recently caught my eye. You guys know I’m a greens-loving kinda girl (Salad Monster should have been my middle name), and I’ve been finding all sorts of lovely festive green eats on new-to-me blogs. I think they’re so great that I want you to know about them too, so here you are, my St. Patty’s Day 2012 Recipe Roundup!
The bevvies…
Honeydew, Cucumber, and Mint Mojitos from Thyme
Mint Chip Cookietini from Snappy Gourmet (how ridiculously amazing does this look?!)
The savoury…
Watercress and Forbidden Rice Salad from Cookie + Kate
Shamrock Fried Eggs from Zestuous
Irish Brown Bread from The Parsley Thief
Roasted Cabbage with Lemon from Kalyn’s Kitchen
Lucky Spinach Quiche from Diamonds for Dessert
Creamy Avocado Yogurt Dip from Two Peas and Their Pod
The Sweet…
I know some of you have a sweet tooth, and although most of my recipes are squeaky clean as far as nutrition goes, pardon me for just today because I just NEED to share some of these with you. Get your toothbrushes ready for a sugar rush!
Mint Chocolate Chip Cheesecake from Pip & Ebby
No-ice-cream-maker-required St Patrick’s Day Kiwi Sorbet from Snixy Kitchen
Guinness Brownie Bites with Bailey’s Cream Cheese Frosting from Sweet Tooth
Irish Coffee Caramel Ice Cream from Sweet Twist of Blogging
And finally, guess what this is (don’t cheat and scroll down past the photo before you guess!!):
That would be a Pot of Gold Caramel Apple from an absolutely amazing, new-to-me blog called Hungry Happenings. Doesn’t it look perfect?! The author, whom I’ve learned is Beth, has a serious knack for decorating food. If you’re looking for treats for your Easter menu already, check out these rabbit cupcakes. Like O.M.Geeeeee.
Now tell me…
- Will you be celebrating St Patty’s Day?
- Green beer: Yay or nay? I’ve never been a beer fan, but you can bet I’ll be having a green smoothie!
- Any special green eats due to come out of your kitchen this weekend?

All these green things look delicious…but that pot of cold caramel apple blew my mind! thanks for introducing me to this blog!
