How are you doing this morning? I have to say, it’s been quite a week! After last Friday’s unfortunate crash of my old MacBook and forking over a fair chunk of change for a new one, I’m hoping for a slightly less eventful weekend as far as technology goes. I opted to go for a MacBook with retina display, and oh my goodness…. pictures look SO different (as in, sharper, brighter, more vibrant) now. As I said on Monday, please excuse any recent photos that have appeared a little over or under-saturated. Everything now looks SUPER bright on my screen which makes me wonder what your view of the blog looks like each day. Hopefully none of you need sunglasses to read it!
Alright, enough tech talk – it’s time to sweat!
Work It Out
Although I haven’t noticed much of a difference in gym traffic since the new year (let’s be real – early mornings aren’t for everyone), I know that a lot of you have to deal with crowds when you head there after work. Therefore, it’s important to have some moves that can be done with minimal equipment in a small space. Guess what – this routine fits the bill! All you’ll need is a BOSU.
The Busy Gym BOSU Workout
After a short cardio warm-up, find a space with your equipment and do the moves below in circuit-style, completing an entire set of each one, moving immediately from one exercise to the next. Once you reach the end, take 1-2 minutes rest, then repeat 2-3 more times. Be sure to keep your core engaged, which will help you stabilize yourself on the uneven surfaces of the BOSU.
Turn It Up
I recently updated my iPod and have so many great tunes to choose from (finally!) and I think you’ll like this one. Christina Aguilera wasn’t one of my favourite pop stars as a kid, but recently she’s been growing on me a bit. Her song ‘Love Your Body” is a good one for cardio or interval-based weight training, but I found this Country Club Martini Crew remix which is even better and more energetic than the original. Let me know what you think!
