Fitness Friday 278: The 5×5 Fit Fix Workout

Fitness Friday - Eat Spin Run Repeat

Happy Fridayyyyy!

Have you had a great week? This morning I’m headed to an offsite meeting for work with my fabulous teammates, and after having done the same last week, I’m really looking forward to all the brainstorming and creating we’ll be getting up to today. It’s amazing what a change of scenery can do for idea generation sometimes, and I’m considering extending that a little longer by finding a fun new location to do some blog work later this weekend. We shall see!

Work It Out

This morning I’ve got something a little different for ya. Last weekend, I had my entire gym to myself so I decided on a whim that I should film the workout I was doing and share it in today’s post. Keep in mind that I rarely do Youtube videos so I’ve yet to make them super fancy like Youtube fitness vloggers do, but I thought this might be a better alternative to typing out exercise descriptions. I’d love to hear if this is something you guys want more of, so be sure to leave a comment below and tell me what you think.

The 5×5 Fit Fix Workout

Start with an easy warm-up to get your muscles nice and warm, then position yourself near some battle ropes, a heavy plate and a slam ball. Work through the circuit of 5 moves below, resting 60s at the end of each round and repeating for a total of 5 sets. Stay hydrated by sipping water during the breaks and finish off with 5-10 mins of foam rolling + stretching.

And now, for the video! If you find this useful I just might start working on my video skillz…. you know, by adding music and stuff. ? I’m sweaty and makeup-less, but I like to get right down to business in the gym and hope that you will too!

Turn It Up

This week’s song, By Your Side by Jonas Blue ft Raye (Madison Mars Remix) is another one to pump you up for cardio, strength, or a mix of both. It’s an all-around good workout tune with an upbeat vibe, perfect for getting you in the right state of mind.
