First of all, happy 4th of July for all of my American friends! I hope you’re still in bed at the time this post goes live, and that you’ve got some fun celebrations happening today. I’m also enjoying a nice long weekend and have plans to cycle and go for a run this morning. But first, I have a new workout for you!
Work It Out
This week’s routine is yet another one that you can do outside with zero equipment, making it super convenient if you’re away from home. All you need is a step (or low bench) and about 100 yards of open space, so something like a track or big field would be perfect.
The Power Plyo Workout
Complete the circuit 2-3 times, using the walk back at the end of each round as your recovery. Aim to do a little bit of light cardio to warm up, and use your walk home afterwards as your cool down. If it’s hot, don’t forget to drink plenty of water!
Turn It Up
Alright, I officially have a new obsession to add to my list which currently consists of things like Asics running shoes, Vega products, turquoise everything, grilled salmon, watermelon and workout clothes. That new obsession is house sax music, specifically that by French duo Klingande. I love everything I’ve heard from them so far, but Jubel (the original mix) is my favourite. If I had to pick a summer anthem, this would be it.
